The crisis of the EU

We have all hear about the refugee/migration crisis. It is also not difficult to imagine the images that are associated with this crisis.

Overfilled boats of people crossing the Mediterraan sea like the one below will not be anything new to most people. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Similarily barbed wire is something commonly seen when looking at new articles and stories about the crisis.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However we rarely stop to think about what these images actually mean and how our way of thinking about this “crisis” influences the state of the crisis itself
In this podcast Vera Tukker, Léo Ricca and I talk about the idea of “crisis thinking”. We try to understand this ]idea through the “refugee crisis” and delve into how this crisis thinking can actually enlargen the so called crisis and make vulnerable people even more vunerable.
