Having completed a BSc in Security Studies, Sweder is now enrolled in the MA African Studies at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
He first started to get an interest in African conflicts during his Bachelor's degree, with particular interests in post-conflict development and peacekeeping, as well as forcefully displaced people.
Besides his studies, Sweder is an avid photographer who likes to go to places most people prefer to avoid in order to discover the forgotten corners of the world.
